In my opinion, now is the perfect time to start a new blog and become a blogger. So yes, blogging is definitely worth it. But it’s not all roses and sunshine. It’s hard work, and most people fail at it.
Blogging has many benefits such as:
With that in mind, here are some new things you’ll have to get used to and love:
I think we have to define success. For me, the definition of success changes all the time. At first, I just wanted to help pay some bills.
However, once I got a taste of the possibilities of making money online this way, I wanted to be my own boss. I want total freedom when it comes to time and finances.
It took me about 2 years to make enough money to replace my day job paycheck . Even after I hit that milestone, I stuck with the job for another 6 months to make sure my income was steady.
During those 6 months, my income from the blog increased a little bit every month.
It wasn’t until the holidays that it really exploded. That’s how it happened to me, it was a lot of hard work. Imagine your second full time job working evenings and weekends for 2 years.
But a second full-time job will eventually replace your office job or manual labor job. It is a means to an end, a more comfortable and financially stable life.
It certainly wasn’t easy, and it seemed to take a long time. But it’s worth it for me.
It may take longer for you, you may accomplish it sooner, or if you don’t have the work ethic or ambition, you may never reach your full-time earning goal. Everyone’s journey is different.
People are so obsessed with this part, it’s really simple. All you have to do is pick something and go for it.
Ideally, you want to choose something you are interested in, even better knowledgeable about it. You certainly don’t have to be an expert or authority.
What matters is that you choose something and take the first step. If your excuse is that you don’t know what niche to choose or that you don’t know what to blog about, then you have another problem.
Choosing a niche is the easy part. I currently have about a dozen niche sites. My problem is that I have too many ideas for niche sites.
The hard part should be building the content base and monetizing it over the course of months or even years.
But whatever you do, don’t get paralyzed about what niche to choose or some other starting step. You have to make a choice and take that step.
